The English Wikipedia says the name of the philosopher Henri-Louis Bergson is pronounced [bɛʁksɔn] in French, instead of [bɛʁgsɔ̃]. What is the historical/cultural reason behind this pronunciation? The article says the family name came from Polish Bereksohn , but is it related to the French pronunciation? I could not find transcribed French pronunciation of the name elsewhere on the Internet. Is there a chance that the article is wrong?
